Spectrum Gallery

This past weekend Grant and I were able to get away, spend some quality time together and attend the gallery showing of a dear friend of my, Bob Barks. We were so excited to get on the road that we forgot our digital and had to buy a throw away camera... it will take a bit to go through those pictures and post them. Grant even made a mixed CD for our drive... that boy thinks of EVERYTHING
We got to the showing at about 6pm. I truly do love and appreciate fine art, especially black and whites. Seeing Bob and his wife Margie was great, they got to meet Grant and we all spent a few hours catching up and just shooting the breeze. I have shot with Bob several times (2003-2006) in the past and am very impressed with his show. Bob recently came out with his first coffee table book as well beautiful black and white photos... truly breathtaking images.

Afterwards, Grant and I decided to stay there in beautiful Fresno and enjoy an evening together... take out food, cupcakes (from Sprinkles in Newport, told you he thinks of everything) and no tv for the night were truly fantastic. We had no dogs to feed and take out, no 4 year old to bathe and love on, no cat knocking things over, no emails or events to contend with... just the two of us. I love spending time with him and it simply added to our foundation as best friends and life partners. Then, bright and early (6:30), Sunday morning we met a very close friend with her new fiance for breakfast... of course we couldn't rush so we ended up running very late leaving the restaurant... but who cares, I haven't seen her in almost 3 years and she is expecting her third baby (a little boy) in a few months. I felt like no time had past, it was awesome... then for the 4 hour drive home. We just TALKED... I love that i married my best friend because we can talk about ANYTHING for hours. hah a.

Now off to the start of another week!
